- Liquid Keratin is not a hair relaxer/straightening agent but offers the choice to wear hair wavy or curly without frizz or straight with very little styling product required. For the initial application, you must use a flat iron for best results and wear your hair straight for 48 hours. After passing the flat iron, you will notice the difference in the texture of your hair. Liquid Keratin will loosen your curl and can tame unwanted frizz for up to 30 days with only one application.
- The Liquid Keratin treatment can be used as often as you like during regular styling and in between full treatments. A full treatment is recommended every 30 days (results vary based on hair type) or when you feel your hair can use it. Many customers spray a little Liquid Keratin in their hair (after the initial full treatment) then blow dry and go.
- The Liquid Keratin after care products (shampoo, conditioner and leave in) are key in prolonging the process. They are specially formulated without Sodium Chloride. Sodium Chloride, which is in a lot of hair care products, will diminish the effects of the Liquid Keratin Treatment very quickly.
- Clinical tests show that not only do repeated wash cycles with the Liquid KeratinTM after-care protocol of shampoo/conditioner/leave-in conditioner improve the results and longevity of the treatment but also help increase the strength of the hair fibers.
- Tools required: a fine tooth comb, hair dryer and flat iron.
- Treatment usage tips: Step 1. Prepare hair for the Liquid Keratin Treatment. Using the Liquid Keratin Healthy Hair De-Frizz Shampoo, wash your hair and rinse thoroughly. Once all shampoo is rinsed, towel dry hair and then comb through to detangle.
- Step 2. Saturate and Activate. Separate hair into manageable small sections. Shake treatment bottle well and begin spraying treatment on each section, completely saturating hair. Once hair is completely saturated, begin combing treatment through hair, from the roots to the ends. Let the treatment sit for 30 minutes, penetrating the hair shaft.
- After 30 minutes, begin blow-drying hair straight using a round or paddle brush. Once hair is completely dry, begin flat ironing hair in small sections at high heat (420-450 degrees) to seal the keratin treatment onto the hair shaft. For best and longest lasting results, keep hair dry and straight for 48 hours. Kinks and curls in hair can be touched up with a flat iron and/or blow dryer if necessary. Added tip: grab a friend to help flatiron the hard-to-reach parts of your hair.
- Step 3. Neutralize. After 48 hours, for best and longest lasting results, wash hair with Liquid Keratin Infusing Healthy Hair De-Frizz Shampoo. Then condition hair with Liquid Keratin Infusing Deep De-Frizz Conditioner. Allow conditioner to sit for 2 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.
- Step 4. Style. Spray Liquid Keratin Filling Leave-In Conditioner on clean towel dried hair and comb through from roots to ends. Style as usual.
